Botanical Name: Platycerium bifurcatum
Common Names: Staghorn Fern, Elkhorn Fern
Description: Native to Java and southeastern Australia, the Staghorn Fern is known for its dramatic, antler-like fronds and soft, velvety texture. The botanical name bifurcatum means “forked,” referring to the way each leaf splits and spreads like stag or elk horns. This unique epiphytic fern can grow impressively large—reaching up to 31–35 inches tall and wide when mature. Despite its bold appearance, care is surprisingly simple: just provide low to medium light and moderate moisture, and it will reward you with stunning, sculptural growth.
Features: Antler-shaped fronds, soft velvety texture, fast-growing, easy care, thrives in indirect light, and ideal for wall mounts or hanging displays.
Please note: All plant sales are final due to the sensitive nature of live plants and the stress that shipping may cause. This ensures each plant is handled with care and remains healthy from our shop to your home.
